"3rd CARMEN MIRANDA ART CONTEST"
Marco de Canaveses Municipal Chamber promotes for the third successive year its III Carmen Miranda Art Contest in dedication to the remarkable celebrity from the movie and music industry. The contest is aimed at attracting the whole school community and coincides with the singer & actress' birth centennial since Carmen Miranda was born in Marco de Canaveses' province of Várzea da Ovelha and Aliviada on February 9, 1909. The selected works will be exhibited at the Carmen Miranda Municipal Museum's Art Space between February 9 and 28.
