On the 9th of February of 2009, the Brazilian Mint will be dedicating to our Braziliam Bombshell Carmen Miranda the release of a celebration medal at the Carmen Miranda Museum in Rio at Avenida Ruy Barbosa, across from number 560 in Parque do Flamengo - Rio de Janeiro RJ.

Such initiative from the Brazilian Mint and the Medal Club of Brazil, institute that promotes cultural events by the means of medaling, aims at making known and eternal remarkable happenings and celebrities, by transfering onto the future an indestructible testimony, which is then put stamped on precious metals.

During the ceremony, the original stamps will be officially decharacterize by a member of Carmen Miranda's family under the conduct of a representative on behalf of the Brazilian Mint. Such stamps will afterwards be donated to the Carmen Miranda Museum.

After the ceremony, the medals will be put available for purchase to the attending audience.
