"CARMEN 100 YEARS"
To celebrate Carmen Miranda's centennial (February 9), Sony BMG Music Entertainment will release within the month a double CD called "Duetos e outras Carmens" (Duets and other Carmens). The first CD is a compilation of duos of Carmen with her main partners (Mário Reis, Francisco Alves, Lamartine Babo...). On the other CD, hits of Carmen sung by great singers, Caetano Veloso, Gal Costa, Elis Regina e Maria Bethânia, among others, including tracks especially recorded for the project: "Camisa Listada" (by Elza Soares) and the medley "Tico-Tico no Fubá" / "Ela Diz Que Tem" e Mamăe Eu Quero" (by Maria Alcina and DJ Zé Pedro).
