Gravada por Carmen Miranda em 1939]

Intérprete/Singer:

Gravação: 2006

Why don't you think
the South American way?
You can forget who you cared,
the love affair in Buen José.
Why don't you do
the way they do in Peru?
Having good time while you bathe,
make love at night and dream all day.

Ai, ai, ai, ai
Have you ever danced in the tropics
in that hazy lazy
like kind of crazy
like South American way?

Ai, ai, ai, ai
Have you ever kissed in the moonlight
in the grand and glorious
gay notorious South American Way?

It's like a steam of fall
It's like a dream of love
It's like the swim of a gull in the bay
They are all true for you
They'll find a gull for you
It was all new for you
like was the play

Ai, ai, ai, ai
There's dance and gay in their music
But the culture singing come out and swinging
the South American way

Ai, ai, ai, ai
Have you ever danced in the tropics
in that hazy lazy
like kind of crazy
like South American way?

It's like a steam of fall
It's like a dream of love
It's like the swim of a gull in the bay
They are all true for you
They'll find a gull for you
It was all new for you
like was the play

Ai, ai, ai, ai
like South American way
South American way?
